Here, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf performs a variety of solo song repertoire in 1958 with the pianist Michael Raucheisen that results in interpretations that are "highly alert and subtly shaped." At this point in her career Schwarzkopf is considered to be at her peak and most mature vocally.
