The Brahms chamber works featuring clarinet are magnificently played by Canadian-born Arthur Campbell assisted by pianist Frances Renzi and cellist Daniel Raciot in the Trio, and pianist Jean-Pascal Meyer in the two sonatas. All recordings were made November 7-10, 2005 in Siemens Villa in Berlin, produced by Ludger Böckenhoff, who with his staff produced a totally natural, encompassing sonic atmosphere. A beautiful recording! |
