Erica Morini was one of the great violinists of the twentieth century. One of her bravura pieces was the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto which can be heard here as an exciting live recording made in 1952 with the RIAS Symphony Orchestra Berlin and Ferenc Fricsay. Morini was a versatile musician, mastering both virtuoso pieces and baroque sonatas, as can be heard on the extraordinary RIAS recordings with Michael Raucheisen.
